1. INTRODUCTION
1.1 These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern all memberships, services and facility use at Strength Cartel Limited (“we”, “us”, “our”).
1.2 By creating a Clubright account, purchasing a membership, using our facilities, or accessing any Strength Cartel service, you agree to be legally bound by these Terms.
1.3 If you do not accept these Terms, you must not use our facilities or services.
2. MEMBERSHIP AGREEMENT
2.1 A membership constitutes a contract between you and Strength Cartel Limited.
2.2 Memberships are non-transferable and non-assignable.
2.3 You confirm that all information provided during registration is accurate and will be kept up to date.
2.4 You must be aged 16 or over unless joining under an approved junior membership with parental consent.
3. MEMBERSHIP PAYMENTS
3.1 Membership fees are payable in advance via the payment method selected on Clubright.
3.2 Direct Debit payments are processed by our approved payment partner.
3.3 If a payment fails, you agree that:
The system may automatically retry collection.
Access may be suspended until arrears are cleared.
3.4 Administrative charges may apply where reasonable costs arise from failed payments.
3.5 You agree to maintain an active payment method at all times.
4. CANCELLATION & FREEZES
4.1 Monthly Direct Debit Memberships (Within Contract Term)
4.1.1 If you cancel a Direct Debit membership that is still within its agreed minimum contract term, you agree that a cancellation charge equal to one (1) full month’s Direct Debit fee will apply.
4.1.2 This fee is payable immediately upon cancellation and must be settled before the membership is formally terminated.
4.1.3 This charge applies regardless of how far into the contract term you are at the time of cancellation.
4.2 Monthly Direct Debit Memberships (Out of Contract Term)
Once the minimum term has expired, you may cancel by giving 30 days’ notice, submitted through Clubright or in writing to info@strengthcartel.com. No cancellation fee applies once the contract period has ended.
4.3 Fixed-Term Memberships
Fixed-term memberships (e.g., 3, 6 or 12 months) cannot be cancelled early except in exceptional circumstances, at our discretion. Where a fixed-term Direct Debit membership is ended early, the cancellation fee in 4.1 will still apply.
4.4 Membership Freezes
A membership may be frozen temporarily for medical reasons or long-term injury, subject to supporting evidence and approval.
4.5 Termination by Strength Cartel Limited
We reserve the right to terminate your membership immediately without refund if you:
Breach these Terms
Misuse equipment or facilities
Engage in unsafe, abusive, aggressive or inappropriate behaviour
Provide unauthorised access to another person
If termination is due to your breach, no waiver of fees or cancellation charges will be provided.
5. USING THE FACILITIES
5.1 All members must check in using the approved Clubright access method.
5.2 You must follow staff instructions, safety rules, and signage at all times.
5.3 You agree to:
Use equipment correctly and responsibly
Re-rack weights and maintain cleanliness
Wipe down equipment after use
Avoid dropping weights where prohibited
Never allow unauthorised persons into the facility
5.4 Misuse of equipment or deliberate damage may result in termination and recovery of repair costs.
6. HEALTH & SAFETY
6.1 You acknowledge that strength training and gym activities carry inherent risks and that you participate at your own risk.
6.2 You confirm that you are medically fit to train and will seek medical advice if unsure.
6.3 A PAR-Q form must be completed before first use.
6.4 You must not train under the influence of alcohol, illegal substances, or medication that impairs performance.
7. PERSONAL BELONGINGS
7.1 Lockers are for temporary use only.
7.2 Strength Cartel Limited accepts no liability for lost, stolen, or damaged personal belongings.
8. DATA PROTECTION
8.1 Your personal data is processed in accordance with our Privacy Notice.
8.2 By using Clubright, you consent to data processing necessary for membership administration, access control, communication, and safety.
8.3 Personal data may be shared with Clubright Software Ltd as our designated data processor, in strict compliance with GDPR.
9. PHOTOGRAPHY, VIDEO & SOCIAL MEDIA
9.1 CCTV operates throughout the facility for safety and security.
9.2 You may appear incidentally in background footage used for marketing or operational purposes.
9.3 You must not film or photograph other members without their explicit consent.
10. BEHAVIOUR & CONDUCT
10.1 We operate a zero-tolerance policy towards:
Harassment, intimidation, discrimination, or abuse
Dangerous misuse of equipment
Tailgating or enabling unauthorised entry
Vandalism or intentional damage
10.2 Violent or threatening behaviour will result in immediate termination and may involve law enforcement.
11. CHANGES TO FACILITIES & OPENING HOURS
11.1 Areas of the gym may be temporarily closed for maintenance, refurbishment or health & safety reasons.
11.2 No refunds will be issued for temporary closures unless required by law.
12. LIABILITY
12.1 Strength Cartel Limited is not liable for:
Injuries resulting from improper or unsafe use of equipment
Injuries resulting from failure to follow instructions
Loss or damage to personal belongings
12.2 Nothing in these Terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence.
13. CHANGES TO TERMS
13.1 We may amend these Terms at any time.
13.2 Updates will be communicated via Clubright or email.
Continued use of the facility constitutes acceptance of revised Terms.
14. GOVERNING LAW
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
